Minced mutton/minced lamb
500g minced mutton or lamb
1 medium size onion
2/3 fresh green chilli finely
1 clove of fresh garlic
1/2 inch of fresh ginger
1tsp crushed red chilli flakes
1tsp coriander powder
1tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 cup of fresh coriander chopped
2tsp vegetable oil
Place the mince in a bowl.
Add all the spices,salt and oil into the bowl of meat.
Add chopped onion, garlic,ginger, coriander,chilli's and egg in a blender and blend the ingredients to a paste.
Once blended add them to the mince meat, mix all ingredients using your hand, ensuring all spices are mixed in well.
Leave the mixture to rest for half hour. The longer you leabe it the flavours will be strong.
Make small balls with the meat and then roll them into long even kebab shapes.
Place them on a foiled tray.
Cook in pre heated oven 180 degrees or in a grill mark 5. Remeber to turn the kebabs over. Kebabs cooking time 15 mins, depending on oven.
Serve them hot with mint sauce and salad
