Yazi's Chaat Dish



i tin chick peas

i tin kidney beans

1 1/2 tsp Amaali Chaat Masala (more or less to taste)

1 onion thinly sliced

1 large potato or 2 medium size (do not peel)

2 medium size totatoes

1 whole pomegranite seeds

1 lemon juice

2 to 3 tbsp of Tamarind sauce

1/4 cup chopped coriander (optional) 




Boil potato (do not peel skin)

Once cool peel skin and chop potato into ½ inch cubes

In a bowl add sliced onions

Remove seeds from tomatoes.Chop tomatoes into small pieces

Add drained chick peas and drained kidney beans

Add the potato

Add chick peas

Add pomegranate seeds to the ingredients.

Squeeze the lemon juice and add to the ingredient.

add tamarind sauce

Add Amaali chaat masala mix all ingredients

Add chopped coriander and mix well.


Ready to eat or how about serving it with a cool yogurt sauce


Yogurt sauce


8 table spoon of yogurt

6 table spoon of water and whisk
